Keep it Moving!

You've heard it a million times..."The race is not given to the swift, nor to the strong but to the one who endures to the end!"

The word of the Lord tell us in Ecclesiastes 9:11 "Again I saw under the the sun the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to the intelligent, nor favor to those with knowledge, but time and chance happen to them all."

In Matthew 24 the word speaks of what will be the signs of the end of the age. We are warned at the end of age to let no one lead us astray. (Matt 24:4-5) In the midst of all that is going on we are encouraged to endure to the end. Matthew 24: 13 says to us "and because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.  BUT the one who ENDURES to the end will be saved."

I believe these two scriptures are used to create the saying we started off with. "The race is not given to the swift nor to the strong but to the one who endures to the end." I learned a while ago in a bible study this is a church cliche. It is not a scripture but the word tell us to endure. We are called to "Keep it moving".

Here is a moment of transparency. For the past two months I have just been having a childish fit. In the midst of seeing God do some amazing things, I let my mind and heart be distracted by the cares of life. It's the lesson Jesus taught in Matthew 13: 20-22 (NKJV) "But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately received it with joy; yet has no root in himself, but endure only for a while. For when tribulation & persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles. Now he who received seed among the thorn is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word and he becomes unfruitful."

I am thankful for GRACE! I am thankful  for a PATIENT HUSBAND! I am thankful for women and men of God that did not count it a burden to counsel me and pray for me.

Do not forget what the Lord has already done. Keep moving forward & keep your eyes on eternity. It is important to keep surrounding yourself with believers who will hold you accountable and remind you of the Word of the Lord. Most importantly you must keep your heart soft and do not allow a root of bitterness to take root in your heart. Do not let anything or anyone hinder your heart from loving God and loving people.

Hebrews 12:12-15 "Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed. Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;"

Remember you are fighting for eternity! Revelation 3:5 NKJV  "He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels."

Build up your strength! Proverbs 24:10 NKJV "If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small."

Hold fast to what is in you! Revelation 3:11 " Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast to what you

have, that no one may take your crown."

Count it all JOY & ASK the Lord for WISDOM! James 12:2-6 "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."

Keep it moving! Isaiah 43:18-19 "Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert."

Hold fast to what the Lord has already done. The greatest thing Jesus has done is salvation. He gave His life, defeated death, and now is sitting on the right hand of the Father making intercession for us. Hold fast to your salvation and strengthen what remains in you. Do not give up and do not go backwards. Keep moving forward!
